Yerba mate is a traditional Argentinian drink, a herb that is prepared in gourds usually made from dried pumpkin. Latvia has too cold environment to grow this particular pumpkin successfully, so I make them out of clay!

Made in the Latvian countryside, in a place called "Vidusmeži", hand-built from manganese clay mixed with sand, glazed with dark green food-safe glaze, polished, low-fired, bees-waxed after firing and is one of a kind.

Every item is hand-built and thus unique and can vary a bit in dimensions, capacity and form.
